Helping Hands Tutors provides private tutoring and other academic services for children with a variety of special needs and disabilities. All of the tutors are Ontario Certified Teachers with Special Education qualifications. The tutors have the opportunity to work with students who are receiving paediatric therapy such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech/Language Therapy. This provides access to therapy consultation during the course of tutoring if needed. With parental consent and based on assessment, a paediatric therapy service provider may recommend strategies to help facilitate the learning process. For more information, please visit: http://helpinghandstutors.weebly.com/
With five children in the family, they quickly realized that the expenses involved with having a child with specialized equipment needs could add up quickly. They also realized that children are always growing and this means they are often outgrowing their equipment. Many times, while still in good shape, it ends up as storage in garages or basements. They decided to create an online community for equipment exchange, and Zach’s List was formed.
